Hi There,
We are looking for recommendations for in home day care in the White Marsh/Perry Hall area. We are considering both center based day care and in home but personal feedback for something like in home care would mean a lot to me.
And in case I am using the wrong term, by in home I am referring to a licensed facility within someone else's home (I know I cannot afford someone in MY home
)
Thanks in advance!

Here is a link to several posts I saved about daycare and specifically that area.

Have you looked on mdchildcare.org yet? They have lots of in-home places listed...it's a good place to start with calling the various listings. Believe it or not, a lot of people use craigslist too for in-home care.
Here is what I did. Posted on the bump but did not have much luck with my immediate neighborhood (I live not too far from Carrabas) I drove around my neighborhood to see if anyone had signs and there was one two streets away. I then went online to this site https://www.mdchildcare.org/mdcfc/network/mainnumbers.html to see what day cares were within a few miles of my house. Her day care came up along with a few others. I started calling. One was out of business and the other happened to be the sister of my provider and she was full. So I interviewed my provider after checking her out on this site https://msdecompliancereports.org/. Now don?t be alarmed if the home care you are looking for is not on there I have been told by several day care moms that MD is not always the best with doing their inspections on time. I would ask about inspection information when you interview her. The provider I went with was the only home one I looked at since the other two did not work out for the reasons above. I also looked at centers. When I met with her she had all her paperwork, training etc? out and ready for me to look at and I interviewed her. She gave me references for current families, past families and the family she was a nanny for before opening her own center. I would recommend her but she is not taking anymore infants until next Feb she can only have two under two and my LO is filling a spot opening in later this spring. I know I gave way to much info but the process was so overwhelming for me and without any friends who could give me recommendations I felt almost defeated at the time. Hope this helps. Also try posting this on the bmore nest board.
My mom works at Perry Hall Learning Center and she loves it there. It is right on Belair Road. Not sure if they have a website but you could always look into it. Good luck!
