Daycare Suggestions-Plymouth Meeting

I am currently living in the Plymouth Meeting area and am looking for a good reasonable daycare. Alot of my closer girlfriends are SAHMs so they can't really give me suggestions. Does anyone on this board live in this area or have and experiences with local daycares. I'd apperciate any advice or suggestions.

Thanks!

  • Where in Plymouth Meeting are you?  We use Flanagan's in Conshohocken and there is also a location in Plymouth Meeting on Walton Road.  There is a Goddard School down Butler Pike (on the way to Blue Bell) and Little Munchkins in Conshohocken. HTH!  Let me know if you need any more specific info.

  • Where is Pymouth Meeting are you?

DD goes to Goddard in Blue Bell on DeKalb.  Not the closest school to my house but they took DD for 3 full days and no other school would do that.

DH and I moved to the area in April and we are looking to meet other parents out there with kids close to DD's age.

  • We use Tot Time/Holland School in Plymouth Meeting.  While I can't say we are THRILLED with this, they do part time care if that is what you need.  We looked at the Flanagans on Walton Rd. and had a terrible impression.  There were 2 infant rooms, though they were only using one of them at the time.  They showed us the one they were not using at the time, and it stunk of dirty diapers...for a room they don't even use, that was gross!  We looked at Kindercare on Germantown, and that is a newer center.  The infant room was pretty small, though.  We also looked at the other Tot Time location on Walton Rd.  That is in a business center, and is a nice place.  We ended up picking the Tot Time closer to our house because it's only 3 minutes from the house, and there are tw young infant rooms.  One is for play and one is where their cribs are to sleep.  If you want more specifics about the place we are at now, feel free to page me on here or the 6-12 board.  Good luck in your search!

  • Thank you all for your feedback, I am very close to the Holland school, I was looking there. I am very worried about the conditions fora  newborn and about the price. WE are not broke by any means but it will defintely take some juggeling of funds to work this out.
