Babies swimming in City of Toronto pools?

Hey ladies,

Next week Becca turns 6 months old so she's officially able to swim in a Toronto pool.  Has anyone taken their LO swimming?  I am just planning on going to the Preschool drop in, not formal lessons.  I know she has to wear a swim diaper but should she also have a bathing suit? 

We have the bummis swim diaper, how do I use it?  Do I put a prefold in it?

    We do lessons (starts at 3 months) and everyone there has a swimsuit on.  DS was the only one that just had a Little Swimmer on the first day of class.  I felt badly enough for him that I went and bought him swim trunks at Joe, super cheap.  No clue about the swim diaper you have.

    You can't take them before 6 months in Toronto? We've had Kieran in the pool for a few weeks now and he's not even 3 months.

    No need to put anything in the Swimmi, just make sure you get her in the pool before she pees on you.  They hold in poop but not pee.
    We always put a bathing suit on top.

    Have fun! Kieran loves the pool!

    We had a great time.  She has a new suit that is very chic.  She may need a wide brimmed sun hat to match.

    Apparently you can't take babies until 6 months according to the city web site but no one was enforcing it.  In hindsight I don't think it would have been a problem to go sooner, I am just to exhausted for confrontation :)
