LO shows no interest in getting on her hands and knees. She has tons of floor time but seems content to roll to get places.
She loves to practice standing, and I'm wondering if she's going to skip crawling all together. Anyone with experience in this?
Re: Anyone have a baby that skipped crawling?
You changed your username?
I did
I needed a change, I've been posting on my local some but I figured I'd come back over and see what was up.
Gotcha. I was like woah! lol
Although it seems that a lot of bump babies do it early - I believe the 'average' age for crawling is in the 9th month (but it really isn't a milestone). And, as you know by now - these LOs gain a ton of skills in a short period of time - so a little soon to discount crawling.
Grant scoots, does some forms of crawling but he hates it. He has a walker that he enjoys standing with and walking with (he'll take a few steps before sitting down) but does not independently walk or stand. I suspect he won't 'cruise' crawl but not discounting it yet.
My BFF's daughter skipped crawling completely. She scooted before walking at 14 months. I think E is heading that way also since she doesn't like tummy time and likes to stand.
Is it wrong that I actually am looking forward to her being mobile? lol People look at me like I am crazy when I talk about it.
My LO only recently (as in the past week or so) started getting on all fours. Before that, he was like yours and was content to roll around to get places.
Like pps, most of the babies I know IRL have started crawling around 9 months. I know it seems like on the bump that everyone has babies who are crawling maniacs at 6 months, but that's really not the norm.
Thanks for the encouraging words! I know that all babies do stuff in their own time but whenever there is a crawling post, it seems like all the momma's with babies 6-8 months respond.
::needs to reminds self that bump braggin does not equal the norm::
