Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Diapers

Are you partial to a brand? I almost always get swaddlers, but occasionally get Huggies. Does it *really* matter?

Re: Diapers

  • Kinda  Pampers or gDiapers daring the day & Fisher Price diapers at night

  • I really like Target.  It's cheap and I had problems with leaks in some of the other generics.
  • We used Pampers Swaddlers previously and now Cruisers. We've tried Huggies off and on, but they always felt too bulky. And I thought Target's brand, which I know a lot of people love, made her smell like pee.

  • We loved Swaddlers when he was a little guy and since then have tried Pampers Baby Dry, Cruisers, Luvs, Kroger,Huggies, and Target dipes and didn't love any of them.  Love, love, love Costco (Kirkland) diapars though.

  • We had Huggies and Swaddlers when he was a newborn and we hated the Huggies. They leaked horribly so we just stuck with Swaddlers. We used Luvs for a while at night because he would leak out of the Swaddlers. (The size 2 Swaddlers were a little big on him). We are still on the Swaddlers.
  • We CD and when we use disposables they need to be a green brand.  We've been using Seventh Gen, but I plan on trying a few other brands to compare.
  • I'm jealous some of your babies are still in Swaddlers at 8 months!!!  DD is still in the weight range for size 2, but she's too tall for them.

    I loved the Pampers Swaddlers.

I haven't tried the Pampers Cruisers yet (although I plan to soon).  So far we've tried two different Huggies (pure and natural and the regular) and Kirkland brand.

I HATE the Huggies.  They contain her poop, which was the main reason we had to move up from the Swaddlers, but they REEK.  The second she pees, they smell so, so bad.

The Kirkland were okay.  I only tried two of them (free sample).  They seemed to fit like Huggies, but I'm not sure if they smell bad when she pees.

I'm willing to try the Target brand after hearing raves on here.  I also want to try Cruisers.  And maybe Baby Dry.

  • We're partial to Pampers and right now DD is using Baby Dry at night and Cruisers during the day.  Loved the Organic Huggies though but DH hated them (he is a SAHD so he changes quite a few more diapers than I do).

  • I don't know why, but I love the Sam's brand diapers.  DS has never had a leak or blow out with them, so we will not be switching anytime soon.

  • I love pampers swaddlers. However, DS is growing out of them. We are using Baby Dry, and they are working great. It makes me mad pampers doesn't make swaddlers in bigger sizes. I know a lot of people would buy them if they did.

iI got a kirklandKirkland sample in the mail and compared it to a little movers diaper iI had and other than the design on the diaper, everything else was the same.  dontdon't know if you have tried the little movers huggies diapers-- also it was kirklandKirkland supreme diaper.
  • iI basically use what ever is cheapest.  iI usually buy huggies since they are on sale and with coupons are the cheapest.  but iI am using pampers this week since iI got a bunch cheap at target last week.  iI love cruisers-- and dontdon't mind other brands.
  • If your baby doesn't have any problems with the diapers, it doesn't really matter.? I really like Pampers Baby Dry.? Swaddlers were nice, but not too economical... Huggies just get so bulky on my baby, even when she is barely wet... for me, I thought Kirkland and Target brands were "crunchy".? Someone mentioned the Target diapers smelling, and I did notice that, but that wasn't the problem for us.? I think the Baby Dry diapers are nice, thin, no problems with leaks (except when very ill).
  • we are pampers parents- not fond of huggies due to the same reasons pp's mentioned- bulky! and i've actually not tried any other diaper, so not sure what the others are like- we just stuck with what we liked instead of risking leaks.

we use pampers cruisers during the day- dd is too long for swaddlers and we use baby dry at night- we began using baby dry when she would leak thru her swaddlers at night- (when now in retrospect, she was leaking bc the diaper was too small on her) but i like them so much bc of how thin and light they are, so we continue to use them!
