Induction via AROM?

 I have and ultra sound on tuesday and a NST. My midwife was talking about inducing me via AROM (rupture of membranes) because I am 4CM and have buldging waters.

I am only going to take the induction this soon if the NST and ultrasound doesn't come back with a clean bill of health but I am unsure on how I feel about induction via this method. I'm nervous about being put on the 24 hour clock.

Would you request PIT instead? Anyone have insight on this method of induction verses PIT?

    They usually break your water if your on Pitocin too so I'd say go ahead the worst that will happen is you'll end up on pit anyways.

    If this doesn't work they'll put you on pit anyway so it's worth a try. Especially if you're already at 4cm.

    Seeing as you are due, why not let her break your water? Who knows, if you are 4 cm and have bulging it will probably happen on its own. I was 4 cm when my water broke on its own with DD and my contractions started about 20 minutes later.
