MIL is watching Ryan at her house tonight while DH and I go work out. I put the formula in the bottles already and am bringing one of my Medela bottles from pumping so she can measure 6oz of water for a 6oz bottle. I know usually you're supposed to put the water in first, but this is the easiest way to set it up while we're out. Is this okay?
Re: How do you prepare formula while you're out?
When we go somewhere that has a fridge we do. Mostly because I don't want to be fumbling with a can of formula at someone elses house.
If someone is watching her, we also premake it, just because it feels like we're helping them out a little when they're doing us a favor. They just pour the pre-made formula, heat and serve.
If we are just going out and about, we put warm to hot water in bottles and take some pre-measured formula in baggies. This way the water is still always warm (don't have to find a way to warm it on the road) and the formula has been pre measured in little bags (I had breast milk bags left over from after I'd stopped breasyfeeding, these work perfect). Makes our lives so much easier!
we use the munchkin thing with rpemeasured formula in it, and then bottled water. we add the water to baby bottle, and then formula to it. shake and voila.

Trying again..
So long as she measures the water that will do very well.
Otherwise, get some of those divided containers to premeasure formula into (we got munchkin ones from target) and put water into the bottles that will be used. Then all you have to do is open the top and pour in the formula and mix.
We bought 3 (a total of 9 premeasured servings). This works great for us since we can also bring one into the nursery at night for mixing bottles in the dark.
