DPT Equivalent To DPO?

I'm always confused what _dp_dt is equivalent to for _dpo or _dpiui.

Example:  5dp3dt=_dpo or _dpiui?

Could anyone translate?

Re: DPT Equivalent To DPO?

  • I'm not really familiar with IUI timing, but in your example above 5dp3dt would = 8dpo or 5 days past a 3 day transfer equals 8 days past ovulation. does that help?

Yep got it.  Wasn't sure if the day your eggs are retrieved was equivalent to the day you ovulated.  And if the hcg would show up at the same rate whether the eggs stayed in your body like in an IUI or were removed and transfered back like in IVF.

  • your retrieval date is considered your ovulation date (or the day you would do an IUI).

    So 9dp3dt = 9 days past 3 day transfer, or 12DPO. You generally have your IUI on the day you ovulate. So 12dpIUI = 9dp3dt = 7dp5dt = 12DPO.

    HTH!

yep, it should. even if the embryo was floating down your tube to your ute, as opposed to be put back with a catheter, it still wouldn't implant and start secreting hcg until 7-10 dpo. So the fact that they are outside of your body for a short period of time wouldn't affect the rate at which your body would produce hcg - if it were to implant.

  • Basically it's DPO.  So, 5dp3dt = 5 days past 3 day transfer or 8 days since ovulation.  You trigger 36 hours before ER, then have however many days (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) between ER and transfer.  Does that make any sense?
