TTC After a Loss

Question about not ovulating during a cycle, come in if this has happened to you

I think that may be what is happening with this cycle.  Take a look at my chart.  What do you think?  This is only the second cycle I have charted and last cycle we were avoiding and I definitely ovulated.  Why does this happen?  Should I talk to my doctor about it?  I am still having tons of EWCM so I don't know if I should keep bding or what.  This is frustrating.

  • It's normal for this to happen once in a while but I'm not sure why it happens.  I didn't ovulate after my m/c.  Also, I had a few cycles that were pretty normal and then out of nowhere I had a 63 day cycle, with O on CD 53.  That was very bizarre, but I seem to be back on track now.

Hang in there, you could still O, but call your dr. after 60 days.

  • You could still ovulate. I've ovulated as late as day 30. Or your body could be readjusting after the miscarriage. It's also normal to have 1 or even 2 anovulatory cycles in a year, just as random coincidences. I wouldn't worry unless your next cycle is also anovulatory. Then talk to your doctor.

(But seriously, I get it. I know this stuff with my head, but if I don't ovulate this cycle I'm going to freak the eff out and call my doc. So don't feel bad about worrying).

  • Pretty sure it can be normal for women to have one annovulatory cycle per year. . . I wouldn't worry too much (I'm not myself).  I'd just be irritated.
  • I say keep BDing e/o/d until you have a confirmed temp shift.  Two cycles ago, I o'ed on cd36.  You could certainly call your ob, but I bet you anything they'll just say it takes time after a m/c for your cycle to get back to normal.

I wouldn't worry too much about this long cycle yet.  Like pp said, if you get to cd60 and you haven't gotten anywhere, then I'd call.

  • This happened to me last cycle. Lots and lots of EWCM, finally O'd on CD33. Not pg. It's incredibly frustrating.

  • Sweetie, your husband just had surgery; that kind of stress can throw your ovaries for a loop. I agree with the e/o/d until temp shift. As long as you're having fertile cm, there's still a good chance you're going to O. :)
