Had a really sad experience yesterday

A little background. We are very involved in our church. DD goes to preschool at our church too. A few days ago a woman who DH and I are close to in our church found her husband dead in his apartment (they lived apart due to jobs and trying to sell their house). He died of a massive heart attack, they had been married 35 years.

I saw Marie yesterday at church, she was there to meet with our minister I was there for a PTA meeting for DD.

She gave me a Huge hug and was crying. I told her I was so sorry for her loss. She told me

"Megan your husband is amazing, you two love just like we did 30 years ago, you are very lucky and blessed. Hold your children close, but your husband closer when losing my husband I lost everything, I will never love like this again, but I thank God everyday I got to experience it."

I was crying by the end. She is a wonderful woman and it truly made me realize how quickly life changes.
