  • Oh and we had a chili cook off at church and one thing they were saying was they wished they had hot dogs for chili dogs.

  • Bake or buy some good bread.  You could also bring condiments for the chili - sour cream, shredded cheese, chopped onions.
  • 7 layer dip? Cornbread, tater tots (ok, I know that's kinda lowbrow but it sounds crazy good right now) or potato skins, fruit skewers (maybe something light might be nice to cool off spicy, heavy chili?), veggie platter, roasted/grilled veggies, deviled eggs.... ummm, I'm out.

Google super bowl or football party foods - chili is VERY football so the less snacky, junk food-ish sides on those menus would probably work.

  • tortilla chips, I love eating my chili with tortilla chips..I agree with the condiments...I saw on a cooking show that some people eat it with guacamole...

Or if you're looking for a whole other dish..try a light fluffy dessert to offset the heaviness of the chili

  • Crudites!

  • Jalapeno Cornbread is super yummy. Also, baked potatos might be fun with chili.

All the PP's ideas are making me hungry!

  • All the PP ideas sound good or you could make beer bread for something different.
