Whelp, its happened. They are calling for 20+ inches of snow this weekend, so my hostess has (wisely) decided to call off my shower for this Saturday.

Super bummer. Now we need to see if we can crunch in another Feb date, or if we should switch it to a "Sip and See" after Drew arrives.

Boo to you, Mother Nature.?

Oh no, I'm sorry!

My shower is also this weekend, and even though we're only supposed to get 6", I'm a little nervous about making the trek up to my mom's house alone. It's a 2 hour drive.

Same thing happened to me. My mom called me earlier today and told me they were going to cancel. We're going to try again next weekend. I was bummed out.

You're not far from me! My shower was last saturday, when the last snow storm hit (though not as much accumulation as what's expected for this weekend). I had about 10 people that couldn't make it out, but not a bad turnout under the circumstances. My wedding was one of the hottest days of the year, so I am just wondering what kind of weather I'll have when I go into labor?!?!

Good luck- I am sure you'll manage to make something work out!

My shower is this weekend too, but there are not really many other dates that we can switch it too.. so we shall see what happens.. I am just bummed that I may not be able to see people that I have not seen in awhile!

i feel ya...I'm in the same situation. Mine was supposed to be Saturday in Lancaster which meant we had to drive (as would most of our guests since they're all here in the DelMarVa area) so we're goign to see if Sunday will work and if not then we'll just have to cancel it. Sucks, i know my MIL put alot of effort into it:(

My cousins are in Virginia and they told me all about the snow. Honestly, VA got more snow than we did this year! Weird! Stay safe! Sorry about your shower!

Mine was canceled too! I just moved to NJ and was having the shower in VA. It is just too dangerous for us to drive in the storm. And my Dr. doesn't want me to travel after next week so it looks like we are going to have to have a meet and greet in April. Boo
