I posted a FB status update much like the ticker below about vaca and BCP.  I got a lot of crap for it.  Would you really be offended if someone posted that as an update?  Or were these people being too sensitive.

    April/May 2012 = FET #2 w/our last two embies = BFP (Please let this be it!)

    Our little miracle baby is a boy. :)

    Baby Boy Owen and Baby Girl Avery were born too early on Feb. 13, 2011 due to a pedunculated fibroid, incompetent cervix and suspected placental abruption.

    It was more of, I'm kicking the pill and we will see what happens from there!  I have baby fever and they all know that.  I am a pretty open book.

    Announcing it to the whole world is setting yourself up for disappointment if it doesn't happen right away- everyone keeps asking why you're not KU yet.

    Same here.   And I'm so glad we didn't tell anyone else because this process has not been a good one or a quick one.

    I don't think I'd be offended, but honestly I might have been surprised that you were sharing that information with all of FB.

    I don't find it offensive, just incredibly personal.  I don't like putting my sex life as my facebook status, but to each their own.

    You guys say "all of FB" but I don't have a whole lot of people on there.  Just about everyone on there is family or friends.  No strangers. Like DH has a bazillion friends and I would never post something on his site, because he doesn't even talk to most of them.

    I agree with PP.  I wouldn't be offended but would never post that information.  We get enough questions about when we are going to have a baby, I certainly am not going to encourage more.

    This. No one knows that we've even thought about it. We don't want anyone to know. At least not at this stage of TTC we are at.

    I guess it depends what kind of crap you got for it? Were they criticizing you for coming off the pill, like they don't think you should TTC? Or was it more like a "TMI!!" kind of response?

    As the others said, to each her own :)

    THIS!  While I did not post it on facebook I was honest whenever anyone asked me before the wedding I'd say "Oh I'm getting of BCP in July." Flash forward to now and still no BFP so everyone I run into say things like "are you doing it right?"  And "Are you ssure you're having sex at the right time?" or my all time fav "Just relax!"  It's set us up for a weekly guessing game of who's going to bring it up today?


    TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD. 
    IUI#1&2&3 (2011 & 2012) BFN
    IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)
    IUI#5 BFN (April 2013)
    IVF w/ICSI Oct. 2, 2012 - 13R, 11M, 7F, 1 frozen blast 4BB grade - - - FET Nov 15, 2013

    I personally wouldn't want everyone on fb knowing about it...but to each her own! I wouldn't be offended by it...I'd be more jealous about the vacation :-) I've told my bffs that I'm TTC but haven't even told my mom yet.
