Dh and I are planning on visiting our family in the middle of March. I'll be about 27 weeks. Our family lives 500 miles away. So it's about an 8 hour drive. Dh wants to take a train down and I'm not sure if it's worth it.
If we take a train that means we don't have to drive! Which is the best part. The train station is about 45 minutes from our house so we'd have to have them store our car. Plus we'd have to keep furbaby in a kennel. It's almost twice as expensive to take the train. But I'd be able to walk around, eat, use the bathroom frequently and it wouldn't interfere with the trip. (That's Dh's main point, that it would be less stress on me.)
Driving allows us to take the furbaby! Also our families will have gifts for baby that we will need to take back. Plus I'll be picking things up from my sister and BFF (Who both have had girls recently and have set bags of stuff aside for us.) If we don't drive we can't take the items. We wouldn't get them until after the baby is born. But driving is more restricted. We'd have to stop if I needed to use the bathroom or wanted to walk around. And we don't want to make the trip longer then necessary.
Which one would you choose?

Like many of the others have said, I'd drive. While the train ride would without a doubt be a little less stressful, I think you'll be happier with the drive. Just tell your DH that he's going to have to patient with you! Enjoy the trip home.
