You'd still be eligible for COBRA.
If you quit you pay for Cobra and it is not subsidized by the government. I remember doing Cobra back in the day and I had to pay $600 per month for it!
If you get terminated, negotiate with your employer to keep you on their insurance. They can terminate you but have an agreement in place where you keep insurance coverage for a certain amount of months. Emphasize to them that because of your condition you need this coverage and see what you can negotiate. You never know. Or, ask for a severance in enough money to cover your Cobra coverage until the baby comes.
Also, keep in mind that the baby will need coverage too. In CA the baby is covered under the mother's health insurance for the first 90 days and then has to get its own coverage.
