Bergen County OB Rec

Hi there,

 

My sister lives in NJ and is looking for a new OB.  Does anyone out there LOVE their OB?  She's more comfortable with a female.

    I love my OB, I did alot of research before finding her (my previous one would make we wait forever in the waiting room)... her name is Melody Behnam and she has two offices (Wyckoff and Ridgewood). 

    I've had some pregnancies problems in the past (miscarried with my first pregnancy) and currently have several markers for downs (although they seem to be diminishing).  Anytime I have needed to get into contact with her the office has been great (I even got a phone call at home one night at 8/9 pm when they first detected the markers).  I also liked that I always see her (not part of a group of OB's where you could see anyone).  Even when she went on her maternity leave (I was 6 weeks at the time I felt completely comfortable). 

    As for the female thing yes I feel more comfortable with a woman too, so that was how I initially started my search... so completely understand.

    My Ob is so nice and really takes time to talk to you and make you comfortable/understand everything. Her name is Hope Schlossberg and she works in Comprehensive Women's Care in Englewood.  The other dr's I've met in the practice so far are mostly very nice as well but Dr. Schlossberg is really great!

    Fair lawn Womens Health Group. I really like Dr. Jacobsen. She delivered my baby & is really nice. They are a practice of like6 Dr's, which 3 are female.

    I also highly recommend Dr. Schlossberg and the entire practice.  I started with Dr. Schlossberg, but I have seen all of the MD's and they are all competent, professional, and nice to boot.  I am about to deliver and really would be okay with any of them delivering my baby.  The office is very professionally run (I manage practices for a living so I am super picky) - I never wait long, have never had an appt cancelled, they pick up the phone promptly and I have never had to wait for a return call.

    I just switched from Valley Women's Health in Ramsey and Fair Lawn to Bergen Ob-Gyn with Dr. Cho and Dr. Clachko.  Dr. Cho is a young female doctor and Dr. Clachko is an older male.  Love them both and they deliver at Hackensack, which I wanted.
