Carseat - Moving Up

Hi Ladies!

 I'm mostly a lurker (per the poll I just answered, ha ha) but I'm looking for some input if you have some.

DS is barely fitting in the infant seat anymore and we are in need of purchasing the next size car seat for him.  Any recommendations for one you love or ones to stay clear of?  I've been reading reviews online, but they are usually 50% love, 50% hate for every seat.

    We will be purchasing the britax marathon when dd moves up. I have the book baby bargains and it is rated really high in there. If you don't have that book I can look which ones are rated high.

    I know there are a lot of great deals on the marathon online right now. You can find them from 180 and up I think.

    Just pay attention to the max weight on them.

    I have 2 Britax Marathons for DS.  I have had to replace my original 2, due to 2 different car accidents.  Both times I replaced it with another Marathon.  I would either get a Marathon or Boulevard, if I had to buy another seat.  I also have a Cosco Scenera and I hate the thing.  We bought it for air travel, it is so hard to install.

    Also Baby Bargains isn't the best place to look for car seat information.  Since they assume that all seats are equally as safe.  I have research and tried tons of seats.  If you want more info please feel free to ask.  I have a giant email that I typed up for a few friends a few weeks ago.

    I, also, love our Britax Marathon.  DS seems very comfortable in it and it does very well in safety ratings.

    We have the Britax Roundabout and DD's been in it for about a year now, and no complaints here!

    We just installed the Britax Marathon last week.  Dd loves it!  My mom has the Britax Roundabout in her car.  I knew after doing a lot of research and talking with my friends I knew that I wanted a Britax.  If you go to diapers.com they have one model of the Roundabout on sale for $159 and the Marathon for $199 (but the cover is a pink girly pattern).

    We have a Britax for my car, and DH has a Recaro seat for his We haven't installed yet, but I did quit a bit of research and almost everyone liked the Marathon.

    We also have the Britax Marathon in both of our cars. 

    My parents got a Graco Nautilus for their car and that one is really nice too.  It converts as they get older, so you don't have to keep buying different carseats
