We did applesauce for her very first day on solids. Now, we've done sweet potatoes, peaches, and squash currently (in that order). I think we're gonna move to peas next. One of the dads that picked his daughter up yesterday from daycare told me that you shouldn't stick to just the "yellow" foods first...they can get a yellow tint in their skin, kinda like a jaundice color..who knew?! I didn't! He said it happended with DD #1, so he recommended yellow, green, yellow, etc...
Sweet potatoes has been DD's FAV so far!!

We did squash, carrots, peas, apples, pears, bananas then sweet potatoes. We usually feed a fruit with lunch and a veggie with dinner rotating between peas and something else. DD loves peas and carrots and could do without everything else.

we're going to start with bananas this weekend. i have read multiple places that fruits are more similar in taste to breastmilk, and since i EBF, i figure it will be the easiest way for him to transition. i'm excited!
Here's what we did. If I have a * it means I haven't introduced it to DS yet.
4 months - cereal only
oatmeal
rice (hates it)
barley
wheat
mixed (oatmeal, rice & wheat)
5 months - fruits & veggies
prunes (was very constipated)
pears
peaches
sweet potatoes
applesauce
squash* (giving it to him today)
peas*
bananas*
green beans*
I'll give the baby meats after?my pedi said not earlier than 6 mos. But by the time I go through the rest of the fruits and veggies, he'll be over that. I don't make my own and have been getting Gerber.
