Who gets sore after sitting/lying down in one position...

I am SO sore after being in one position for like 20-30 minutes and it takes a lot of time to roll over when lying down. Sometimes when I get up from sitting or lying down, I have to walk really slowly before the pain/ discomfort starts to wear off. I feel like I'm 80 years old... Not that I know what that feels like...?

I haven't exercised much at all so I'm wondering if that's why... Maybe just the added weight of the pregnancy and pressure of the baby. What are you all feeling at this point?!?

Re: Who gets sore after sitting/lying down in one position...

  • This is me. I do go walking quite often but it still doesn't help, especially at night. Everything hurts when I have laid down for more than ten minutes.

  • That's exactly how I am. Any position for too long causes aches. It's just a part of pregnancy is what everyone's been telling me. Tongue Tied

    ITA!

OP: I have been working out the entire time and I still feel like this. You are not alone.

  • Yup, that's your ligaments stretching like crazy... good times. It takes me forever to roll over at night too due to the soreness! It's worse on my right side in my hip... And if I sit for too long here at work, I walk really slowly at first... I try to get up more frequently, and that helps. When i'm still, I feel fine; but that first movement... youch.

Exactly! I am better off standing or walking around than I am sitting or laying down.

    For sure. Yes

  • I feel the same way especially when I am lying down.
  • Yup, I get this and I walk/jog every day with my dog. It hurts! Just the joys of pregnancy :)

  • I get the same exact thing. When I sit down and don't get up for a half hour or so, I feel like I am walking like Grandma. It's very slow and short steps until my hips stretch out again. Oh, and rolling over in bed, that has brought tears to my eyes many times!

    You. are. not. alone.

THIS.  I can get so uncomfortable in bed at night (hips and back) that I actually moan when I have to roll over.  Thank god for DH--he always puts his hand on my back right where it hurts when I do.

    Gotta love bein' preggo...
