Ok, I know I'm not "Showing", but I'm so bloated (and that can't be sucked in anymore), that I look 5 months prego! Anybody else have this issue? I've always wanted to be the cute little petite, I'm not showing until I'm 20 weeks girl, but just not happening for me!
I'm only 8 weeks along but as the baby truly gets bigger, I'm not going to be able to hide this!
Re: But all the books say I shouldn't be showing...
The bloating will go away and will be replaced with a tiny bump, don't worry!
Try to stay hydrated in the meantime...I felt that helped with the bloating.
I am petite, and I started "showing" at about 7-8 weeks. It's mostly bloating. However, I also have seven fibroids, so my uterus has always measured ahead. I wasn't able to hide my baby bump, so I had to reveal my PG around 11 weeks. When I did tell ppl, they all told me they could already tell I was PG and were just waiting for me to reveal. I think sometimes when you are little to begin with, any bump, no matter how small, is noticeable.
At 28 weeks, the only thing that has grown is my baby bump -- the rest of my body is pretty much my pre-PG size.
I just hit 10 weeks today and my pants are tight. Fighting the maternity clothes bug because I just can't see spending exra money until I actually need to. I notice I'm the most "bloated" at night even though I try to have a small dinner after a healthy lunch. What's worse, is that DH and I want to get through the NT scan and any other testing (if necessary) before we tell anyone (even work) so I'm doing whatever I can to hide it. Thank God for long jackets and sweaters!
You're not alone!!!

I have been huge. Just a huge belly. At 5 weeks I had to buy maternity pants.
Late last night, and today....my tummy is much flatter...and now I'm worried.
The doctor said it could be my diet or gas....but I am so worried. My sono #2 isn't until tuesday.... and I'm stressed.
Books?? You actually believe Books???
BWAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH!
Yea, that's sarcasm. Everybody's different.
I started showing very early and this is my first. Maybe I was bloated, but it never went away, was solid as a rock, and keeps getting bigger. I recently found out that the baby is positioned in front of the placenta and that I'm definitely carrying forward. One of the perks of how I'm carrying is that I've been able to feel the baby move pretty early..... Everyone really is different...try to enjoy your own experience
