  I call back when I see a missed call most of the time. I have some friends that absolutely refuse to leave a voicemail.

  I am a horrible person and I very rarely listen to my voicemail messages, so I usually call them back if I see that I missed a call.

  I usually don't have time to listen to messages and just call people back and ask why they called.

  If I want to chat with them, I will. But I figure whatever reason they were calling for originally is moot.

  If I don't know the number I won't call back without a voicemail. If I know who it is than I'll call back with the exception of my MIL.

  depends who it is.  usually I only call back if they leave a voicemail.  I figure if they didn't leave a voicemail it wasn't important.

  Only if they leave me a VM and ask me to call them back. I HATE talking on the phone and rarely do.

  My DH on the other hand can't stand to not know why or who was calling and will call them back (if it was a number he didn't recognize). Half the time it was a wrong number.

  this!  I hate wasting time & minutes listening to the whole prompt thing & then "hey its me (i.e grandma, like i don't know her voice) I was justing calling to say hi.  Its sunny here.  Miss you. Call me back" I leave my phone on & call back family, friends & known numbers.  Unknown numbers are the only time I look for v.mail - if they don't leave a v.mail I know its someone that I don't want to talk to & they know it too!

  Depends on the person. If I actually want to talk to them, I call back. Otherwise, only if there's a VM (and definitely if I don't know the number.)

  VM only unless it's from someone I know. Mystery callers without a VM I may call back.
