You know what really bugs me? When people use common phrases and sayings incorrectly. Example -- in a certain post earlier -- "case and point"....
Other ones that bug me:
Visa Versa -- its vice versa!!!
For all intensive purposes -- for all intents and purposes, right?
Anyone else really annoyed by this?
Re: You know what bugs me?
So annoyed! I get so irritated with the atrocious spelling errors and general lack of punctuation as well.
Loose vs lose hmm--the only one I can think of at the moment but it makes me crazy.
OMG YES!!! However, I refuse to be the spelling and grammar police. I do it all day at work. On public message boards, I just quietly give the side eye.
I believe it's case "in" point, but I know what you mean.
after anovulatory diagnosis and TTC for 1 1/2yrs with several medicated cycles and one chemical pregnancy, we have our first bundle of joy!

I don't take one single minute for granted.
What about "irregardless"....
Umm...that's not a word....it's REGARDLESS.

Haha yes I know, but she said it as "case and point" in her post.
Mute point
Lose vs. loose
On the 0-3 board the one that really bugs is "The baby was seriously jaundice". Not that they HAD jaundice or WERE jaundiced, but the baby was jaundice. Over and over, not a typo, of course.
I LOVE THIS! I have never been able to figure out why people misuse this! If you just sit and think about it, for oh about 2 seconds, it makes perfect sense!
This drives me up the wall.
Tempting instead of temping
Seriously almost killed me.
wow, that sentence confuses me
Every single time I hear "moot point" I always think if this line from Friends:
Joey: Yeah, it's like a cow's opinion. It just doesn't matter. It's moo.Oh, then I'm RIGHT there with you! Yes, bugs the crap out of me!
Oh my gosh this is great and it is seriously one of my biggest annoyances.
Yup. I COMPLETELY agree.
I also hate the phrase, "It is what it is."
Really, it is?

I see these two a lot: advise vs. advice; affect vs. effect.
But, I frequently have dumb typos so I can't really judge.
One of my all-time favorites!
For those who are into sports, one of my LEAST FAVORITE cliches of all time is when someone will say:
"If he wins this game he will be up there with the Peyton Mannings and the Brett Favres and the Ben Roethlisbergers."
THERE IS ONLY ONE PEYTON MANNING AND ONE BRETT FAVRE AND ONE BEN ROETHLISBERGER! Just say he will be LIKE them!

You have my sympathy.
I am such a proper grammar and speech snob. I correct DH all the time, poor guy.
What annoys me most is misuse of apostrophes. They are NOT meant to make nouns plural. OPK's - incorrect. OPKs - correct.
I am normally a lurker on this board but YES OMG OMG this bugs the living crap out of me!!!
Someone on 3-6 said something today about the Ferber method getting "a bad wrap" and I was annoyed. It's RAP like rap sheet, not wrap like wrapping paper!! Abyways, I totally agree with you. Major pet peeve of mine...lol
