With my last IVF cycle, I did 1 month of OCPs, then began stimming after my menses and a supression check. I responded really well (14 follies, 11 eggs).
I've changed practices, and they put me on OCPs for 1 month, then had me restart OCPs on day 3 of my menses and I'm taking it for 14 days. On day 10 of my OCPs, I start lupron for 10 days - the OCPs and lupron overlap for 5 days. (Now we're at day 23 of my cycle). THEN, if I'm supressed, they will stim me.
It just seems so long! Did your RE do this, too?

Re: IVF protocol - did you do this?
I have not heard of this protocol, but when I was with my RE last Monday, we went through about a zillion protocols, and there are some crazy ones they can combine with bcp's and lupron, like you are mentioning....
Maybe this is the crazy change you need
I hope so!!!
They wouldn't even tell me what my E2/FSH results were! They only said "normal". I didn't get a day 3 u/s.
I feel like I'm just part of a protocol, and they're not going to deviate from it no matter what. :-(
