3rd Trimester

I am sure I will take this statement back later BUT

I am going to be 35 weeks tomorrow and I don't feel that I have gotten that big..I am still walking 2 miles every other day.. Still trim my toe nails. I just get a little winded bending over sometime....I have gained about 25 pounds but feel great...

  • how tall are you? I was comparing my belly to a women who is due 8 days before me and she looked huge and pregnant and I looked small but I'm 5'10" and she was only 5'2" or so... I've noticed that shorter women have MUCH bigger bellies!

  • I was the same way until 37 weeks, then it's like I doubled in size overnight.  Enjoy it!

I am 5'6" so I am not really that tall...

  • I think everyone just carries differently and it probably does depend on your body size. I am 5 1" and have only gained 25lbs too (I think most of it has hit my thighs) and I look smaller then other prego women but I am feeling huge. The doctor said I was probably going to have a baby no bigger then 7lbs. I guess it just depends on what size you are and baby you have. There are women who are 5 10" whom have 6lb babies and women 5 ft whom have 9lb babies...it's just in our genes!!
  • I'm 37 weeks, walk everyday, can still bend over to tie my shoes and put on socks. I haven't gotten big at all. I've gained around 23 pounds so far. I started out at 115 and am only 5'3". I was worried about not getting big because I didn't know if LO was growing or not. My midwife says he is a great size and that I am just a small person. Just be lucky that you still feel good! I know I don't take it for granted. I'm glad I don't have a huge uncomfortable belly. I can't imagine how people do it who do! More kudos to them.

  • I have a very short torso and have a huge belly. I am 5'9" and have probably gained about 25 lbs, but it is all bewbies and belly. At this point I can put on my socks and shoes, trim my toe nails, and all that stuff. I just have a hard time walking up stairs. I get winded easily.

Oh, and getting off the sofa is a little harder too.

  • also makes a difference if you're carrying higher or lower
  • I am so jealous of those of you who can still trim your toe nails! I can barely put my socks on!
