We're 18 weeks today (Due July 3rd) and will find out the gender on Thursday. Absolutely exstatic!!

Also starting to look into childbirth classes. We're hoping to deliver at Scripps Encinitas and will tour the hospital this week. Does anyone have any wisdom or advice to share on birthing classes or North County delivery locations? Thanks in advance, and congrats on your journey down this amazing path!
Re: North County - Birthing Classes and Delivery Hospitals?
Hi,
I live in Cardiff but will be delivering at Scripps Memorial La Jolla but we just registered for classes through Scripps. All of the classes are available in Encinitas or La Jolla (& other Scripps locations). You can call 1-800-SCRIPPS & find out the dates, times & prices. We are starting a childbirth class this Thursday, which meets 4 Thursdays in a row for 2 1/2 hours each. They also offer this class on 2 Saturdays meeting for 5 hours each. My friend recommended this class over others because it discusses child birth as well as hospital policies. They also have breastfeeding, getting ready for baby, cpr, hospital tours etc. that you can schedule. Hope this helps!
I'm going to deliver at Scripps Encinitas.
I've heard great things about it!
As far as classes go, I called the Scripps 800 number and they told me about all of the classes they offer. I just took an accelerated birthing class through them, it was 2 Saturdays, 5hrs a day, at Mercy hospital. It was great!!
