DH updated his every so often so people wouldn't call every hour on the hour to find out what was happening. Ofcourse not when things were crazy, during down time when I was just laying there watching tv.
I agree. I don't know how folks have time to update on facebook. But, then again, I had a very wonky situation.
The only thing I wrote was on 7/31 "margeincharge2 almost thought she was going to have a July baby for a second." This was earlier in the day because I wasn't feeling well and DS wasn't "due" until mid-August.
It was about 2 hours after that that I went to the hospital. I didn't update facebook for some days later with a photo of DS announcing his vital stats. But with the emergency c/s and the pre-e I was not in any condition to be facebooking. lol
I was induced so I had a lot of time on my hands but I still only updated twice. And they were kind of cryptic messages with no details. First one was "today is the day" and second one was "hoping to be at 10 by 10" I wanted to let close friends and family know what was going on without calling everyone but hopefully the random high school lurkers were clueless about what I really meant.
Our cell phones barely work in the hospital and their wifi wouldn't let us get on social networks so we couldn't update if we wanted to. I'm a private person so I doubt I would update much if I could have.

See, this would not bother me. "Baby is sunny side so I'm in a lot of pain and feel a lot of pressure"? No. Focus on the task at hand!!!
Re: an early, though hopefully not too unpopular opinion...
agreed!

Text updates, fine. Even updating on the bump, fine....but on facebook? Ugggggh.
And if baby 2.0 comes even half as fast as baby 1.0 did....there will not be time for texting!!
Oh, I'll copy them to FB and ESSS fo sho.
