Poll: Toys!

If you have LO(s) - what is your LO's favorite toy right now?

If you're expecting or TTC, what are you most looking forward to seeing LO play with?

Re: Poll: Toys!

  • Right now, DD loves the teapot from the Say Please Tea Set.  I hear it almost all day.  She also loves her books.

  • Good poll!!  I'll be interested to see what the older kiddos like!

DS favorite toy now is anything he can put in his mouth, but that doesn't require too much cognitive work beyond that.  Sophie, rings, Lamaze cube, etc.  Oh, and he loves banging on his little toy piano, to make the sounds work.

  • Silk scarves, art supplies, blocks, puzzles, random little junk that they always manage to find around the house, babies and stuffed animals, their train set(one plays, one chews;), stacking toys, their play kitchen, Little People, anything that moves(trains, cars, fire trucks, etc). Nick likes anything that he can use to make noise and bang or chew, Mia likes anything that she can use to play pretend or create things.
  • This awful snowman that my dad gave him who rocks back and forth and sings "Sleigh Ride" with a bad Texas-style accent. It has replaced Elmo Live as the #1 toy. He also loves puzzles, his play kitchen and plastic food. And coloring with markers has really surged to the front too. I think he will really like his Little People Racin' Ramps if we ever get around to giving it to him. He got so much for Christmas and his birthday is this weekend, so we're holding that one back until he needs more toys!
  • She loves her walking toys.  She also loves the ball popper that my sister got her for Christmas.  Oh and the dogs rawhide as well.  Ugh.  Poor dog only has 1 toy and she keeps trying to take it from him and chew on it herself.
  • DD is only 7 weeks, so we're not much into toys yet, but she loves her Whoozit! I picked one up while out this past weekend after seeing someone mention it on here. She smiled at it lots Monday during playtime - the first time that she has smiled at anything besides people! :) I've also started transitioning her to the crib for naps this week and I hang it so she can she, she seems lost in it!

She also likes her Mozart Music cube that lights up and plays music. She goes into a zone when listening!

  • My 3 year old loves anything art or craft related.  My 18 month old loves this: https://www.littletikes.com/toys/hide-slide-climber.aspx

It's an outdoor toy, but we keep it in the basement right now.  It's great!  She'll climb and slide over and over and over....

  • My two year old LOVES her mini trampoline that plays music with each jump, playdoh playsets and anything involving markers, crayons or fingerpaint.

My 10 month old loves Usborne "That's Not My..." touch and feel books and her babydoll Stella with magnetic pacifier and bottle.

Both love to play together with their Step 2 play kitchen, train table and cozy cottage.  I also heard rave reviews from friends about the Step 2 Fun Flow Sink.  I think that will be their Easter present:)

Oh, bath toys are also a HUGE hit in our house.  My 2 year old loves her Dora bath castle and Yo Gabba Gabba foaming soap and my 10 month old LOVES LOVES LOVES this: https://www.amazon.com/Yookidoo-Stack-Stream-Tub-Fountain/dp/B001QCIG16

  • At 5 months, Drew likes anything he can put in his mouth.  But his favorites are the links that attach hanging toys to things (not the toy itself, just 3-4 links strung together) and his plastic key ring.

He's also a big fan of his own hands and feet and my face and hair.  Ahh the simple life.
