Anyone in or near Suffern/Rockland County?

Hi everyone.  I'm a Southern California bumpie and was hoping you might be able to help me.

We might be relocating as my DH has been offered a job in Suffern, NY.  We would prefer to rent an apartment or house for a year or two before we buy.  I have been looking online all morning for apartments and rental housing in Suffern and surrounding areas but have not found a whole lot.  Plus, since I've never been to NY, I'm not sure what areas are nice.

I was wondering if you have any recommendations for apartments in that area or if you could tell me which areas in Rockland County are nice to live in?  Any other advice/recommendations appreciated.

    Hi there, not sure how much your looking to spend but here are a few suggestions:

    Pomona - Buckingham Court, Palisades Gardens

    Garnerville - Avalon Crystal Hills

    Suffern - Stonegate or bonaire

    Haverstraw - Harbors at Haverstraw (amazing rentals - feels like a hotel)
