Yay, just got my diaper bag!

I am very excited because I found this Petunia Pickle Bottom bag I had been eyeing, in excellent used condition on Salem craigslist for $60...so happy!!!  Even though it has some pink on it, I still think it will work for a boy too - thoughts?

    My theory on diaper bags is the bag is for YOU! I have enough BOY stuff to lug around... my bag is for me! Smile

    That bag is really cute!  But it's TINY.  Like small handbag tiny.  For the first few months at least, you are probably going to want a larger bag.  Check out the Skip Hop bags, they are pretty cheap and VERY functional.

    I could have used that size bag when DD was around 7 months old, but not before them.

    That's a smart plan!  I have a big Coach bag (for me) and a basic black Columbia bag from BRU (for DH) and I actually use them both equally.  It's really nice to have a plain black bag that DH will carry.  The Columbia one is a great bag, very organized inside and out, I haven't had any problems with it at all, and I think it's around $40-$50 at BRU.  Good luck!

    Very cute!!  I found my Petunia Boxy Backpack on CL too!  I paid $40 and it was the one I had been searching everywhere for!  I LOVE it!  We have a second diaper bag (at one point I had decided to sell my Petunia but didn't thank god!). It is a Diaper Dude messenger bag.  We used that the first month and it was ok, but I ended up switching to the Petunia because it had so much more room so I agree with TheJenn.  We have 2 pr extra clothes, 6 diapers,  2 socks, 2 bibs, the travel pack of wipes, the little container for formula, a few toys, baby tylenol and always a clean bottle.  It is a lot of stuff but the few times I have forgotten to repack or add to the bag, I was grateful to have it all.  :D

    Yeah I carry all of that plus: baby toys, Tupperware full of puffs and cheerios, my wallet, my cell phone, hubby's cell phone, a sweater for myself, etc. It's nice to have a big bag!
