So...I've been at Northside for 2 weeks....

I have been calling Northside my home for the past 2 weeks and will be here until they deliver me because of preeclampsia. I'm in the High Risk Perinatal Unit. I will be 35 weeks tomorrow. Because of low platelets, high blood pressure, headaches, etc....they will induce me at around 36 weeks + one day, which is next Thursday unless there are problems with my daily bloodwork and they will induce earlier.

I have had a very good experience so far minus the obvious part od being in the hospital. Everyone has been so nice and friendly. Nurses, techs, food service, blood lab, admissions, etc.

It sucks being in the hospital for the duration of this pregnancy, but I know it is in the best interest of my baby boy. So thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated! :)

    girl I should of come and visited you when I have been there.  I have been on bedrest so I know how it feels and the visits to the Woman Center. Just to give you hope I have almost made it to 36 weeks (thursday) and then will let mother nature take it's course.  I will be in the Forsyth hospital delivering so I won't be able to visit you.  Your in my prayers and keep that chin up!  It will be all worth it in the end when you hold that baby!

    I know it must be tough, but hang in there!  You're in the home stretch!  I hope that everything goes smoothly for you from here on out and you'll be holding your healthy baby boy soon!

    Hang in there! I was on the HRP floor too with both pregnancies. Everyone there is so nice and should take great care of you! I loved Chasity (the food lady) she was always so chipper! Sending thoughts and prayers your way!

    WOW Jill- you are a trooper!  I know it stinks but you are right- it's all for your little man and he is so lucky to have you as his Mom!  Please keep us posted and let me know if you want me to drop off any yummy take out or something from the mall.  I would be happy to do it! *Val

    Getting closer. Wow, you are one tough momma. Hang in there sweetie. I work really close to Northside hospital so if u need anything I can pick it up for u.

    I was wondering where you have been.  I'm glad to know that you are ok even though you are in the hospital.  I know it sucks, but it is what's best for you and your precious baby.  T&P your way!

    I know it has been tough, but it will be worth it when you take your little one home!  FWIW, I delivered SC at 36w3d and she was fine...no Nicu, no problems other than a little jaundice.  Just TRY to relax and get some rest while you can.

    You poor thing! Well, its best to keep you in a safe place with lots of people to help take care of you. I hope you can hang in there. Once you see that little face it will be all worth it!
