To tell you what a good friend she is...

...I was the second person she told.  First, her husband.  Second, me.  Not even her parents, or her local friends, or his parents, or her job knows.

I am at the same time touched and feeling like a heel.

    Don't feel like a heel. She would not begrudge you being upset for yourself. I also promise that in a day or two, you won't think so much about your pain but only about her fortune.

    I THREW myself into planning a babyshower etc. and did everything I could because I did rejoice in her good fortune..but it took me a few days to get overmyself. Because it does hurt.

    To try and combat the one starness I gave you 5 but it only works out to 3 when you average them together.  So still lame. 

    I think the star thing could go away and everyone would be a lot happier.
