NBR: What's the best way to get credit info?

We apprently have some past due account and I have no idea why,or what. GRRRR!!

So I need to figure this out ASAP.

You are entitled to a FREE copy of your credit report annually from all three of the credit reporting agencies. Go to www.annualcreditreport.com and it will walk you through the steps. It will ask you for your name, ssn, address, etc., to identify you and once it does, it will then ask one or two more detailed questions that only you should be able to answer.

I have done this before and just did it the other day myself. You will get the results instantly, no waiting for someone to send it to you.

I had a bogus charge on my credit report pop up right when we were getting ready to close on our house. If you do the annual credit report, you can see what needs to be removed and work with those vendors. You can then request updated copies of your report for around $9/each. I had one bad charge and it was removed within 5 business days!

sign up for their free trial and cancel within 9 days. i do it every year! in fact, i just did it last week.

DH & I pull our credit report each year b/c the first year that we did it we BOTH found out we had bogus charges out there. Apparently we both managed to start opening credit cards in the mid 90's when we were not even of age, and I owed utility bills from the 80's/90's in San Francisco!! Definitely pull your credit report each year!!

I did the above BUT they do not give you your actual score, just each of the three reports. I know you can get your reports (and maybe score) if you are denied credit. The creditor should give you an address for obtaining the report

You don't need the score to find out what account is delinquent.

Thanks girls!!

My next problem is- we couldn't find anything, we have paid all bills on time.

I have no idea what the problem is, I will have to call my CC company tomorrow.
