I've read some conflicting reports about whether this tea is safe during the 1st tri. I'll be asking my OB about this on Fri, but was curious if any of you ladies have any thoughts. Thanks!

Re: Thoughts on red raspberry leaf tea?
It is safe to use throughout pregnancy as it is a uterine tonic and strengthener, and is very nutritive (rich in calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, vitamins B, C, and E) Contrary to what is sometimes heard, Red Raspberry leaf does not promote contractions.
However, if there is a history of miscarriage it is best to wait until 2nd trimester (just to be on the safe side) and have 1-2 cups every 2nd day.
Sorry, this is untrue.
Raspberry leaf works by strengthening the uterus so therefore makes contractions stronger and theoretically making labour shorter. It does not cause contractions/promote labour.
