s/o laser declawing...

Some of you mentioned you had this done with your cat... we are looking at that option now.

How much were you quoted? Our vet quoted us almost $600, which seems a little steep :-/ Hence the reason it hasn't been done already.

    Laser declawing is really expensive.  The $600 quote sounds about right.

    We have a Cats Only place here that will do all 4 paws for $300. I don't have anything to compare it to since not many places do the laser around here. Good luck! I know this is a hard decision for us.

    Please don't declaw your cat, ffs.  Laser or no, it's cruel and unnecessary.

    I have exhausted ALL other options, as I've stated numerous times on this board. I don't want to do it, but my cat is ruining my new furniture.

    Please don't declaw all 4 paws. If your kitty gets out, he/she will have no way to defend him/herself. Most cats use the front to scratch (it stretches their muscles) and the hind legs for defense.

    this.  declawing is the equivalent of cutting off the finger at the second knuckle, just an FYI.  extremely painful.
