Goodbye, sweet sweet exersaucer

I made my exersaucer last nearly 14 months with my first. I put it outside of the bathroom and only use it for 15-20 minutes every morning while I shower and get ready.

This morning my younger son, who just turned one, decided he no longer wants to be in it and threw a colossal hissy fit, trying to climb out.

So, it looks like there is no more showering in the mornings for me and no more containment while I get ready.

Sigh.

The only good thing - I can get that hunk of junk out of my hallway now!

I'm sort of jealous and sort of not. My DS is still in his at 13 months but I imagine it's because he can't walk yet and it keeps him upright all the time which he likes and that means I can have my hands free sometimes. However, I'd really like him to start walking sometime soon.

Sorry about your loss of showers, Dr. Freud.

WOW you got it to last that long. I couldn't get Bean to use it past 10 months. Once she could stand on her own she was done w/ that thing.

well you don;t have to lose your showers, but that mean you will have to get up before he gets up if you want one in the morning.

Good god, you made it a full year??? DD wanted nothing to do with it around 7 months! She liked playing around it, but not in it. I do sympathize with your need for containment, though!
