Pork Roast - Crock Pot... need ideas

Ok I have a 2.5 lb roast, carrots & an onion & am picking up potatoes tonight after work.  Now... should I add Chicken Broth or another kind of broth/liquid to it... Typically I make the roast with a homemade BBQ sauce & leave it overnight so it falls apart & it's awesome.  I thought I would do it a little differently... any ideas?  I have beef broth & various "cream of" condensed soups too.  I was thinking chicken would be best, but thought I would throw it out there to you ladies & see if I get some good ideas on that & maybe other things to add to it.

aaaaaaaaaand GO!

 TIA Big Smile

  • I always use a can of cream of mushroom and a can of cream of onion and a tad bit of water!

  • I just made one with cream of mushroom soup and an onion soup packet.  Just mixed them together and poured over the roast and cooked about 6 hours.  And I used the same veggies you mentioned.  It came out AMAZING!

  • You can use a can of whole berry cranberry sauce and a little soy sauce. It gives it a very different flavor, but it very good.

  • I found a can of string beans also & was thinking of tossing those in about 10 minutes before serving.  Not sure if that would be good or not though since they are canned & already mushy.  & the best part if everything cooking together for prime flavor fest.  hmmmmm.
