Need Ideas! What are some humorous things you equate with being young and old?

So I'm planning my dads cake for his 50th birthday on Feb 12th and I've got the design planned out, I just need some help from you wonderful ladies 
So I'm making a Hill and there is going to be a path leading "over the hill" at the top I am going to put a 50 candle and leading up the one side I want to put fondant cut outs of things that go with being young (alcohol, first car, text books etc) and down the other side I want to put things that you would equate with being old (cane, adult diapers etc) but I need more ideas! so what are some things that you would equate with being young and old that wouldnt be too complex to make in fondant?

Old: glasses, wheelchair (I don't know how easy/difficult that would be), IV of some kind maybe
Young: Bike, bottle, booties, (alot of baby stuff starts with B huh?)
That's all I've got for now, maybe it will help you out.
With what you have and previous suggestions, it sounds like you could have babyhood, childhood, teenager-hood covered... if you continue... college parties, graduation cap, first baby.
Older (sticking to the happy side): golf carts and palm trees, grandchildren, travel, or whatever he's thinking of doing once he retires.
I'm going to make an AWESOME big brother.
50 is not old!!!!
but on the old thing.. you could do false teeth or a hearing aid
and I like zista's ideas of doing nice things with being old too... like money in the bank, travel stuff... the golf and palm trees are good too.
I'm lame, didn't even go for the golf and I should have with my husband being obsessed. I like that idea, ignore my other suggestions.

I know 50 isnt old, but my dad is a very young at heart guy and is not looking forward to hittin the big 5-0. So being the good daughter that I am I am playing on his insecurities to have a good laugh
