Those of you who had an amnio...

How long did you actually "rest" for after the procedure?  I had mine on Wednesday and I'm petrified to do anything...I have a 4 year old and a 2.5 year old...so it's really hard to take it easy.  My husband was home both Wed/Thu.  Today is my first day on my own.  TIA!

    I didn't. I went to the mall after my amnio and walked around a bit, with doctor's permission. I was told not to lift heavy stuff, or to go workout, but that walking was fine. Oh, I did take advantage of dh's offer to make dinner and clean up that night, and I did not lift my 4 yo for about 12 hours, but it was no big deal.

    I think everyone has different effects from the amnio.  My doc said it was fine to do normal daily activities but just don't overdo it.  I worked from home after my amnio.
