NIFR: Uggs wearers

I keep hearing how much everyone loves these...so please tell me more. Do you wear them in the snow? Does the wet/slushy weather hurt them? And how do you wear them - with jeans? tucked in or out? Regular/original style or the newer shorter kind?

TIA!

Re: NIFR: Uggs wearers

  • I am also fashion challenged so take this with a grain of salt.

I have a pair of knock-off knit Uggs with fur linging, and I loooove them. (Especially cause they were free!) I do wear mine in the snow, but whenever I go in the snow I put on socks, then big ziplock baggies, another pair of socks, and then boots. They do tend to soak through for me, hence the ziplock baggies.

I always where my jeans on the outside. I'm a big gal and it would not look attractive if I tucked my jeans into them. I am getting the shivers just thinking about it, ick.

Oh and I have no clue about the styles, the only reason I have these is b/c my very fasionable sis got them and they were too big for her so she gave them to me!

  • I love my Uggs and have several pairs. Before I wore mine in the snow I sprayed them with Ugg water resistant protection. Now they have so many different colors and styles. I like to wear my crocheted uggs with leggings and a tunic top. I wear my suede ankle pair under jeans and my knee high suede pair over jeans. They are so comfy and if you take care of them will last a long time. I also wear all my Uggs with a pair of thin socks to keep my feet extra warm and to avoid blisters.

  • I have 3 pair. 2 short and one tall pair. They have all been treated with water resistance stuff as well. Being that it doesnt snow here in CA, I wear them almost everywhere! I love them!

  • I love uggs I have 5 pairs of them.  You cannot wear them in the snow or wet unless you treat them before hand and it depends on the type you get - some are crochet and they will get soaked.  I wear skinny jeans and pull them over top of the jeans - I have the tall and short pairs.  They have come out with alot of new cute styles - ones with buckles and such - I get my at Zappos.com - if you have small feet you can fit in the kids sizes and they are cheaper.  I think they are played out now but I do not care because they are so comfortable and keep my feet so warm.

  • I bought Tall Classic Uggs when I lived in the mountains in Sun Valley, ID.  I sprayed them with the protector stuff they sell and they are still in great shape, years later.  They kept me so warm and I wore them daily.

I wore them under my jeans, never over.

The only bad thing was they were awful on ice.  I ateshit a few times slipping on ice, so you do have to be careful with that.  But with snow, they were great.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

  • I LOVE my Uggs!

I don't wear them on snowy or rainy days, although a lot of people do. I just want to try to keep mine looking nice. Plus I have lined rain boots tht I wear in rainy/snowy/slushy weather. You can spray them with water proofing spray, but the water and salt from snow can leave marks.

I wear mine with leggings and sweater dresses, with leggings and sweatshirts, with skinny jeans tucked in, or with regular jeans and let my jeans go over them.

They are so warm and comfy. I can't even tell you how amazing they are. I highly recommend them.

  • I LOVE my Uggs. Have two pair of classic tall in chestnut & black. I pre-treated them with the waterproof spray & try not to wear them in the rain or snow. I usually wear them barefoot & they keep my feet toasty warm - even in 10 degree weather! I wear them with skinny jeans tucked in, leggings and jeans rolled to the cuff of the Ugg boot. They may not be as popular as they were a couple of years ago but I don't care. I love them anyway!
