I think we're going to have Trev's 5th birthday party at a local children's museum. It is $165 for up to 20 children. It includes the paper products, a T-shirt for the birthday boy, a return coupon to the museum and a discount merry-go-round coupon. we'd have to buy the cake, drinks, and other snacks. Reasonable?
He goes to a public pre-k program and has become friendly with a few of the kids, but I'm thinking of inviting all 12. I would hate to leave someone out and I figure they all will not come. Do you invite the whole class?
Re: Is this reasonable for a birthday party?
If we give out invites at school (a public pre-K) the policy is that EVERY kid must be invited. Otherwise, we have to find their address and mail an invite.
I think it sounds like a great deal and a lot of fun!
I invite the whole class (24 kids) that dd goes to preschool with. It is a huge number but dd goes full time so she sees all the kids. Some only go M,W,F or T,TH but seeing that Dd goes M-F full days, she knows them all. I wouldn't want to leave anyone out and if it is affordable, I'd do whole class. It is the rule at dd's school (as well as the rule where I teach) that you invite whole class or just girls/boys or you can't pass them out at school.
That price seems great for what you are getting. I paid 250 for dd to have a party at her gymnastics academy. It supplied paper products and I supplied pizza, ice cream, cake and drinks.
The museum sound like a great time for a 5 y.o. party.

can not make it clicky on my Mac. It is a great place. They have a huge floor to ceiling climbing structure, water table, bubble art, and numerous other exhibits. Our other option is the carousel located in the same area. Unlimited carousel rides the entire party.

This. Our school also has the rule, you have to invite everyone
I think its cute!
But if your DC has been friends outside of school for a while with a kid in the same class obviously they would be invited to the party. Does that mean you'd have to invite the whole class even if you wanted to keep it small?
