ER update

we retrieved 20 eggs today.  I am happy about that. 

But we are having a hard time with the progesterone shot......I can't let hubby do  it. And he is not too excited to give it to me either...  It is such a big needle!!

    Good luck!

    I have heard to warm the oil under hot water and to sit on a heating pad for 20 minutes afterwards.

    Great number! I've done PIO for 5 cycles (2IVF and 3 FET), what works for us is I sit on an ice pad for 5 minutes before and stick the syringe (with pio in it) under my armpit or bra to warm it. DH can give it to me then without me making a bad face. For me the only place we can do it is in the butt (I know some people use thighs). I believe in PIO but it is a PIA (no pun intended). 
    1 ectopic 3 m/c's prior to 5/05 Un-freaking-explained IF 5/05 IVF, BFN 9/05 FET 3d5e, BFP = Beautiful Baby Girl (lucky pg #5) 8/08 Fet 3d5e, cp 12/08 IVF with PGD, transfer 3, BFN 5/09 FET transfer 4, BFN Hail Mary IUI with Follistim 9/11 BFP; 9/22 confirmed tubal/MTX 4/10 FET 3d5e, BFP!!!! m/c 5/26/10 1 year break and yet another m/c 5/11 FET #5 initial beat 121, second beta 7 Lap and removal of L tube and very mild endo 7/11 Suprise BFP 12/11 & m/c @ 8 wks. After 11 losses and one beautiful miracle our journey is over, we are thankful and at peace.

    That is an awesome number of eggs!

    I second the ice pack recommendation.  My butt cheek was always numb when my DH gave me the PIO shot.  He also did it slowly instead of like a dart.  I rarely felt much.  Good luck!

    I tried the ice pack and thanks to it we now have 2 shots progesterone down!! The ice pack works - if anyone else wants to know, your butt is numb & I can put the need in myself.  No I dont do it like a dart...that is crazy talk bc that needle is lOOONNG.

    Additional update on the eggs.  They called today & said we have 9 embryos. ANd now we wait.  Depending on how they progress, we will do ET on Sunday or Tuesday.  Go baby dust. grow embies.
