Anyone sell their wedding dress?

I was thinking of selling my dress - we just don't have the storage and could use a few extra bucks. Did anyone do this successfully? Did you do ebay or Craig's list? Any tips? Is it actually worth it to try?

Yep, I sold mine about a year after the wedding for $2,000. I did it through pre-owned wedding dresses.com or something like that. Good luck! It was tough, but I'm glad its not just sitting in a closet.

I sold mine right after the wedding and I am glad I did. Got a lot of money back and I didn't need it anymore.

Yep. Sold on Ebay for more than I paid for it. It was vintage when I bought it and even older when I sold it 13 years later. I don't miss it once we had a boy I made the choice to sell it. I never wanted to wear my mom's dress but thought if I had a little girl that I would give her the option.

No. I'm five-feet tall and weighed 95 pounds on my wedding day, so...didn't figure it was worth it trying to find another pint-sized person who just happened to have my taste.

I was kind of saving it as a dress-up dress or christening gown for a daughter, but now we have two boys and I'm done, so I'm thinking of finding a girl I can give it to. Hmmm....
