Some People are Effed Up!

On another board I check, there was a chick who posted that she had lost her baby to SIDS back in July.  Almost instantly she was pregnant again and was supposed to have her baby in April.  Around Thanksgiving she posted that she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer a couple at like 13 or 15 weeks and she had found out if had spread all through her body.  She was supposed to have her baby at 25 weeks at the end of December because they were trying to give the baby as much of a chance as possible, but the woman needed treatment for her cancer so couldn't carry to term.  We didn't really hear anything thing else as the date approached, and then still nothing after the date passed.  But, support, T&P, and well wishes poured in.  People asked about her, etc.  Then, her husband posted earlier this week that the woman had died but the baby was doing well.

So, it's now been discovered that the whole thing was a SCAM!!  There was no baby that died in July, there was no cancer, there was no preemie baby, and, obviously, there was no woman who died from cancer.  Ugggghhhhh!!!  What kind of person would make sh!t like that up????!!!!  And this is why I'm skeptical when people post about any major drama!!

  • Indifferent...how did yall find out it was MUD?
  • How did you all find out it wasn't real?
  • Wwwwwwwwwwwwwhat?! Who would do such a thing? Why would you F with complete strangers like that. I don't know about others, but when I say "T&P" I mean it. I actually say a prayer right then and try to include as many as I can remember in my prayers until I hear that all is well.  What a d-bag!!

  • People like that really need help. I mean, real doctor help. Think of the time and thought process it took to come up with that story and then to follow up with it later. Wow!
  • I belong to another  ttc/pregnancy board and we found out a girl totally MUD about an abusive boyfriend, m/c, subsequent birth of a DD, cervical cancer.  There was just a ton of BS that went on with it.  I also tend to be skeptical about some of the stuff I read on here.

This. That person needs serious help and medical attention.

  • They started going through her profile.  They looked at the pictures of the baby that supposedly died and noticed that the baby had a wrist bracelet with a different name.  They noticed that in two different pictures of the husband and the couples other children there were actually two different men.  And then they found that the woman had stolen pictures of two musicians with the same names and posted them as her "couple" pictures.  These musicians did not have children, had not lost a baby, etc.   Then everyone started to question the story and it didn't really add up.  Like that she got pregnant again on the day of or day after she lost the baby in July.  That she posted from an airport that her baby had died.  Basically, once everyone started putting all the pieces together, it was just clear.  Now the woman's profile as been deleted.
  • On another website I use this girl took pictures of someone's kids and said they were hers.. she got along with all the parents on the board and they all exchanged photos and everything for a few months... turns out that woman was a 13 year girl and she got busted big time. All the parents were upset because they shared photos with her of their kids.. that's why I never share photos on line or my life story...
  • Wow! I knew a couple that pretended their daughter needed brain surgery and had two benefits for her. They spent the money on a new vehicle, new wedding rings, and some home improvements. Unbelievable.

Seriously screwed up! Don't people at least think of bad Karma? but then again it goes back to what I said before, people like that need psychological help.

  • Wow that is really sad. To take advantage of people is bad but to do it in that sort of fashion is terrible.
  • Attention, attention, attention.... sounds like she can't get enough, OR it is some loser thinking they are being "funny" by  getting everyone rattled.  This makes me sick... what a creep.
  • I'm from the board where she was posting. There was a group of us who were discussing this privately. They began posting pics and trying to catch up and figure things out because something didn't seem quite right. Apparently the poster took pics of a musician couple and posed them as her own (as well as their first names). Super sleuth friends of mine got that part all figured out. Yes, those people are effed up. They didn't ask for money. They had asked for prayers and even had set up a blog with "updates." Everyone was so worried and concerned. Then, they posted that the woman had died, but the baby was still in NICU. This sent a lot of emotional preggo women into tears and sadness over the whole situation. Fortunately, there were some who called bs on it and started researching it.
  • There are some loonies in this world. I don't understand how people can do this to others and expect not to be found out. Ugggghhhh! That really pisses me off!
