PW (sorry, this should be the last): silly bedrest question

When the doc sent me home yesterday he said I am on modified bedrest.  He said I need to stick to the couch or the bed and that I can get up to go to the bathroom, take a shower, or fix a quick bite to eat.  I didn't think to ask, and I know this is a silly question, but should I be laying all the time?  I am on the couch with me feet up but not really laying down.  Am I defeating the purpose by not laying?

    When I was on bedrest from 28w to 36w, my OB said to make sure I am off of my feet 70% of the time. That could mean sitting on the couch with my feet up, or laying down.

    I wound up taking advantage of the time and took naps, since I am now getting little to no sleep.

    Bedrest stinks, but it's definitely worth it! GL!

    That's all you need to worry about and when laying do it mostly on your left side.
