Update

We went to the ER last night and they determined that O was dehydrated. He was put on IV fluids for a couple hours and still didn't have a wet diaper. Then we had to get him to drink 4 ounces of pedialyte and apple juice to see if he would pee from that and after about an hour we had a wet diaper. They sent us home and we got in around 4am, so needless to say, exhausted. And O was still up at 7:30 this morning but took a good nap that we just both woke up from. He seems to be feeling better, keeping a little bit of formula down and was actually interested in food and his toys. So we are slowly giving him an ounce or two of formula every hour and a half and let him have a cracker, all of which has stayed down.

Thanks for your thoughts, it was SO scary to be there last night!

I'm sorry you had a rough night! I'm glad that he is feeling better and is interested in his toys and food. I hope he sleeps well for you tonight, so you can catch up on rest!!

I'm glad to hear he's feeling better! Sometimes the IV fluids help to jumpstart the system, so it sounds like it was a GOOD idea you went! Good job Mom!

Oh goodness, I can't imagine how terrifying that was. So glad he's having wet diapers again and is holding food down.

Thanks for updating us, I've been thinking about you guys today. I'm glad Owen seems to be feeling better. I know it was miserable having to bring him to the ER, but it sounds like he really needed the extra fluids. Try to get some rest this weekend!

its obvious u made the right choice going to the ER!! good job mommy! I'm glad they were able to put fluids in him and he has kept everythign down and is having wet diapers. hopefully he will be so wiped from it all that he sleeps great tonite.
