Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Tell me about your booster seat/high chair!

We have a regular high chair but it takes up a TON of room in our tiny kitchen.

Jack uses a Spacesaver seat at daycare but I am not a huge fan.

We were at SIL's this evening and we used her Precious Planets booster seat that straps on to the regular chair and I think Jack REALLY liked it. He is only 20 lbs and it goes to 50, so weight isn't an issue. In his regular chair, the food is at chest height, in this one, it is down at his waist like a regular table would be, and he ate more than ever before, it was awesome.

Anyone have a better suggestion, or drawbacks/sarcastic remarks about the PP one?

  • We have the FP Rainforest booster seat/ high chair and my daughter loves it. Its great and easy to use traveling - I would recommend it.

  • we have the eddie bauer one that straps to the chair.  I like it, but the wood aspect of it makes it hard to clean.  I would go with the plastic one, but I got this at a mom to mom sale for 10 bucks, so I cant complain
  • we have a chicco one that hooks onto the table. DD likes it and it's very small-space friendly. we also have the $20 IKEA highchair that we use more often and it's perfect. easy to clean, light, etc.
  • I like the FP booster a lot.  DD seems to like it too.

My only complaint would be that she is a W sitter, and even at the tallest height, she still tend to roll her legs in.  But that is small complaint and I can easily fix this issue by changing her legs myself or telling her to.

Overall, we like it and have used it all along.  Easy to travel with and really easy to clean.

  • we have 2 of the fisher price booster seats (one is the jungle theme that was out before the precious planets series, and the other is just the plain FP one without toys).  we keep one at the kitchen table and the other in our car for when we go to restaurants or to visit friends/family.  I highly recommend it and have had no complaints.

  • We just moved DD to a booster tonight too- Miss Picky Pants ate her entire dinner for the first time in months!!  I'm hoping it's not a fluke and she is going to be a better eater in this seat... I'm honestly not sure what kind I have, it was a hand me down- I think it's Fisher Price and it straps to the seat.  But I think you're right that he will like sitting in it more
