Hi everyone! I'm looking to find a new OB/GYN in North County. I would prefer to find one the delivers at Scripps Encinitas. I would also prefer a female. TIA for any suggestions:)
Babywearing, cloth diapering, formula and breastmilk feeding, still can't believe I'm a mom, momma to my little man, two furbabies, and two angel babies.
Hi there! After much research, I've chosen Dr. Rob Biter in Encinitas as my OBGYN. I know you said you prefer a woman, as did I... but all my research pointed so strongly to him that I let go of my male-doctor issues. He is absolutely amazing- a true diamond in the rough. If you're looking for someone to develop a relationship with, a doctor who will become a part of your journey, be there for you, and support your birth plan, however conventional or natural it may be, Dr. Biter is worth at least meeting. All of the reviews I've read on him are phenomenal, except for the occasional criticism that you usually have to wait a while at each appointment {because he spends more time with his mommie-to-be's than your normal OBGYN.} He delivers ALL of his patient's babies, too. I found that very comforting.
I've attach some links for your reference. Best of luck, whoever you choose!
I go to Dr. Makani (female) at Women's Integrative Health Center (in the red brick building off Garden View in Encinitas). There are 2 other female doctors in the same office. She delivers at Scripps Encinitas!
I've had a three visits at PCWH - so far, not too impressed. PCWH seems to be an "in and out" type shop. Each visit is with a different Dr (one of which doesn't even deliver patients anymore), and you have NO IDEA who will deliver you, especially with their patnership of the other Drs in Vista. All we know is it will be 1 of the 7, and we may not have ever met him/her. There really isn't the chance to develop a relationship, let alone birthing plan with your Dr in this scenario. We're NorCty Coastal and also want to deliver at Scripps Encinitas, so I'm doing some research now to find a new Dr and will give Dr Biters office a call - thanks for sharing! Best of luck to everyone, and CONGRATS on this amazing journey!
