The Pregnancy Pact on Lifetime

Okay, so did anyone see the Lifetime movie "The Pregnancy Pact" ? They sure made BFing out to seem very difficult. The girl was trying to feed her baby and she was yelling at the baby and basically crying because her boobs hurt so bad. I know that they were just illustrating that the 16 year old mother was having difficulty being a mother but the Mom or Grandma of the girl was like "she probably doesn't like the taste of blood" Nice.... Lifetime real nice.... Tongue Tied

    BFing was that bad for me at first... I bled and cried because it hurt so much.  I can see how a teen mom would have a hard time sticking with it.  I had to consciously make a choice to endure some significant pain to get off the ground with BFing.

    I wasn't trying to say that BFing is a snap as I know it can be really hard for many women but I just think that a girl yelling at her newborn was pretty sad to see and I know many young girls will watch that movie. It just made BFing seem impossible.

    Yeah... I sure am glad I stuck with it!

    The couls have use MANY other ways to illustrate that being a teen mom is hard (not finishing school, no money, baby-daddy leaving, friends leaving you behind) I didn't think that they needed that in there.

    It gives the illusion that BFing is so hard, and it hurts AND it's bad, for everyone.
