My countdown begins...

I am just twiddling my thumbs waiting for this baby girl to come! This whole pregnancy has gone by so fast, untl this last week or so which has gone by slow as a snail! I'm anxious to see if I go on my own, or if I will be overdue, and maybe induced.

  • you have the same due date as me!  I am thinking I am going to be like a week late....
  • I turned 38 weeks today .. and have been 2cm dilated and 50% effaced for 2 weeks now... this baby is going to take her sweet friggen time I just know it!  Hopefully your baby comes soon!

  • I'm 2cm dilated, too, but not at all effaced. Good luck to all of us!
  • I know you're really anxious to have this baby but from experience I'll share some advice I wish I'd had/taken. Think of this as the most precious time with your hubby and by yourself. Do all the things you enjoy. There are so many little things that are about to change. Try to focus on the time you have together and the time you have to do things in your own time, from cooking dinner to eating together. Going for a drive or popping into a reastaurant for a bite to eat. Go somewhere that's not really kid friendly and enjoy a romantic meal and spend time together bonding because your focus is going to change and fast. You'll still be able to do many of these things but its not the same. And you'll often feel pressure or guilt to get back to your baby when you do take time. So this is the BEST time! You have your baby with you, you're bonding and yet you can still do whatever you like. Think of this as a really special time. It could end at any second now which just adds to the excitement of these last few days of just the two of you.

The only reason I'm anxious, is because I'm so friggen physically uncomfortable.. other than that, SO NOT READY :D  Not ready at work or at the house... I'm fine if she waits until her due date or a week late.. really.. but god, can my feet get ANY BIGGER? :D
