We are going to start purees in April when Aubrey is 6months. However I know that right now things like butternut squash and such are good deals at the store. So could I make it now, freeze it, and it be fine in April?
Also this may be a dumb question but can you just use ice trays to freeze it in and then pop them out and put them in baggies? I don't actually have to have those special trays like they sell at BRU do I? Although I did notice they have lids, but still it seems that ice trays would work just as well?
Re: How long can homemade baby food be frozen for?
YAY for whole foods!!
check out www.wholesomebabyfood.com - it says 3-6 months but is better to do 1-3 months.
I got some silicone mini muffin pans from bed bath and beyond. each minimuffin was 1 oz but it was easier to pop them out after they were frozen.
I made all of Avery's food - if you have any questions, just let me know
Thanks Sarah I am sure I'll have lots of questions
